SPLC Omicron Update

The Province of Ontario announced on Dec. 17 new restrictions to help slow the spread of the highly infectious omicron variant. Health officials are stressing the need for all Ontarians over age 18, and especially seniors, to get a third dose of vaccine as soon as possible which will provide the maximum amount of protection against the new variant. If you have not received dose 1 or 2 yet, now is the time.

Federal Government Officials Visit SPLC

Recently, SPLC hosted two distinguished guests, Scarborough-Agincourt MP Jean Yip and Minister of Seniors Kamal Khera, to meet our teams, tour our buildings and connect with seniors in our community. SPLC welcomed the opportunity to share with our local MP and the Minister of Seniors how our organization aims to empower all seniors in our community. Through their visit, they learned about SPLC’s wraparound services that help seniors achieve their best possible life and realize personal goals up to and including end-of-life.

We are fully vaccinated

SPLC Reaches 100% Vaccination Among Staff, Volunteers

A letter from our Executive Director, Diane Duncan Recently, Senior Persons Living Connected (SPLC) reached an important milestone with 100% of all eligible employees being fully vaccinated. In addition, all in-person volunteers and students are fully vaccinated.
