From line dancing and choir to table tennis and arts, there is something for everyone in the Active Living Centre.

Participants can now review all programs online and can register and pay for programs online using a credit card.  Optional: register online and pay in-person at SPLC.

Our programs are in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Tamil languages.  

In-Person Programs

In-person indoor and outdoor programs including small group activities, gentle exercises and arts are slowly and safely resuming. In-person programs are limited to a total capacity of 20 people, including instructor and volunteers (if applicable).

SPLC's Active Living Centre continues to offer virtual programs, many that seniors have come to love and enjoy through the pandemic.

Here are a few frequently asked questions about using the new online programs and registration form:

  1. You can register for up to 4 programs on the online registration form. If you would like to register for more than 4 programs, then please complete another registration form.

  2. Use the filters on the right side of the program guide pages (or top on mobile and low-resolution screens) to filter and select the programs you are interested in.

  3. After you have submitted your registration form and after your payment is made, then you will receive the zoom link via the email noted on your registration form.

  4. There are three payment options:

    1. Online via credit card using the registration form
    2. In-person at 3333 Finch Ave E on Wed or Fri from 10am-noon or 2-4pm, after submitting your registration form: using credit, debit, cheque or cash
    3. Postage mail with cheque made out to Senior Persons Living Connected and the comment field on the check indicating the registration receipt # starting with WR that is found on the registration form that is sent to you once you submit the form.

     

  5. Seniors and caregivers will gain skills and knowledge, social connection, enjoyment through arts and crafts, card games, physical, educational and social activities programs facilitated by staff, contractors and volunteers.

  6. We are doing everything possible to keep our community of seniors safe.  As of June 29, 2022, there is a max of 20 people (participants + instructor) for all in-person programs

    All participants of in-person programs are expected to:

    • Pre-register for programs and services
    • Complete a COVID-19 screening at the start of each program session with the instructor
    • Show proof of vaccination (minimum two vaccinations required) and government ID
    • Wear masks and sanitize hands
    • Participants must agree to follow infection prevention and control guidelines

    Our staff are required to:

    • Prepare a floor/ seating plan (if applicable)
    • Sanitize equipment, microphone, tables and chairs before and after each program
    • Monitor program on-site/ off-site
    • Keep updated registration/attendance record
