Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.)
S.A.L.T. is a joint effort of local volunteer seniors, Toronto Police 42 Division and Senior Persons Living Connected. Through the program, local seniors go on community safety walks through various neighbourhoods and learn to identify environmental safety concerns. S.A.L.T. not only educates and engages community members in crime prevention it reduces social isolation and creates new social connections.
We're very pleased to announce that in February of 2014 S.A.L.T. was given special recognition by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police as part of the launch of their 2014 Crime Prevention Campaign.
