Throughout the pandemic our teams have developed creative ways to reach out to seniors to keep them healthy and active, and we created new programs too. All of this has been offered free to seniors and caregivers. Help us continue these beneficial services!

Sharing Good News: Hampers with Heart
SPLC hopes to brighten a senior’s day when they receive a grocery hamper with a little extra cheer tucked inside. Our staff asked their children to draw pictures or send a message to seniors. Their fun drawings of unicorns, rainbows, and messages of hope have been printed off as large cards and included in the hampers. We hope these cards bring a smile to our community of seniors.
SPLC is delivering 250 food hampers throughout June to those most vulnerable in our community who have been struggling to access healthy food during the pandemic. The hampers contain non-perishable food items and fresh vegetables. SPLC is also adding a reusable cloth mask to the hampers. These hampers, free of charge to those in critical need, are made possible through support of our community partners, Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA), and the Government of Ontario.
