SPLC Annual Active Living Fair

St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre is excited to announce our annual Active Living Fair. This event is an important event for the local community to  learn about: staying healthy and active through exercise, nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices! It includes: a healthy food market, a plant sale, games, prizes, smoothie demonstrations (& samples), free healthy food, exercise classes, physical activity demonstrations and activities for the young and young at heart!  Date: Saturday March 24, 2012Time: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

SPLC receives Prestigious June Callwood Award

On Friday April 20th, 2012, St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre was presented with the June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism from the Minister of Immigration and Citizenship, the Honorable Charles Sousa. St. Paul's was one of only 7 organizations to receive this honor, from several hundred nominees. We were chosen because of our unique model of engaging volunteers to support our seniors.

St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre has been working hard over the last year to ensure that we offer support and services which are accessible for all. These changes are part of our commitment to The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). This new law requires organizations to comply with accessibility standards which break down barriers in important areas of daily life for people with disabilities.
