St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre has been working hard over the last year to ensure that we offer support and services which are accessible for all. These changes are part of our commitment to The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). This new law requires organizations to comply with accessibility standards which break down barriers in important areas of daily life for people with disabilities. The Act requires that volunteers, staff, contractors and Board Members receive information and training about providing goods and service in an accessible manner which takes into account someone's disability, yet provides services in a way in which values dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity for all. Everyone at St. Paul's plays a key role in making sure people with disabilities are welcomed, valued and included and we are excited about being able to ensure anyone who would like to engage with us (as a client or visitor), is able to do so in a way in which meets their needs.
