Support Groups
Support groups are a chance to share your experiences and learn from other caregivers. The sessions help caregivers stay connected with each other and develop a support system to ease the pressure of caring for older adults. Monthly support group in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tamil is offered on-site. Various partnership educational programs including Powerful Tools for Caregivers, T.E.A.C.H, and Living Life to the Full are offered annually or as needed in the community.
Integrated Care Managers
Navigating the healthcare system can be confusing. SPLC’s trained Integrated Care Managers help by connecting older adults and their caregivers with the specific healthcare and personal support services for their needs. They may refer you to specific resources or programs that fit your requirements, and may also offer face-to-face or telephone counselling to support you in your role as a caregiver. Their goal is to empower you and the older adult you care for to take control of your health by connecting you with the services you need.
