Re: Bowl for Seniors
On Friday February 26 2016, St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre held our Annual Bowl for Seniors event. The bowl took place at Parkway Bowl, with seniors, families, caregivers and staff members in attendance.
Parkway Bowl allows for smaller and lighter bowling balls, letting seniors and older adults play limitlessly. Though the weight of the balls may have been less heavy, it was still a competitive game.
The evening commenced with a one hour competitive bowl tournament, with the first place winners coming from St. Paul's Church, taking home a well-deserved trophy.
At the end of the event, we raised $7,266.33, which went towards our area of greatest needs.
Every year, St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre hosts Bowl for Seniors, where seniors, families, caregivers, staff members and volunteers come out for a night of friendly competition. Not only is it a night full of laughter, good food and competing teams, but it also allows us to raise funds to enhance the programs and services we offer to seniors and older adults.
