This March 21, St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre was invited to the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards at The Brighton Convention and Event Centre.
The evening began with a video message from Michael Chan, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade. There were also a number of members of parliament who gave outstanding talks, and words of encouragement to our volunteers. Volunteers ranged from youth to seniors and it was an inspiring event, which served as a great reminder: no matter how young or old we may be, there is always an opportunity to give back.
Our volunteer with the greatest years of experience was awarded to Jackie Mac, who volunteers for our Recreation Department.
The night was filled with a lot of applause, inspiration and excitement especially among our nominees.
Congratulations volunteers!
