Over the past few months, St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre staff have been involved in an exciting new Quality Improvement initiative. Improving & Driving Excellence Across Sectors (IDEAS) is a new, province-wide learning initiative to advance Ontario’s health system priorities by building capacity in quality improvement, leadership and change management across all health care sectors.
Through IDEAS, health care professionals and managers from all disciplines and sectors will learn, apply and share quality improvement knowledge and tools, and implement change across the health care system.
St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre was chosen as the first CSS agency to be involved. Our Quality Improvement initiative sought to reduce cancellations in our Adult Day Program. Preliminary data suggests that we met our goal of reducing cancellations by implementing a telephone reminder strategy.
Quality Improvement is a priority for St. Paul's L'Amoreaux Centre, and something we will continue to address and make changes to strengthen our ability to build capacity, share knowledge and implement change across the organization and beyond.
