Ontario Recognizes Our Volunteers with Eight Awards

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards are given by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration to recognize individuals for their continuous years of service to an organization. On April 06, 2015, no less than eight of SPLC's volunteers were honoured! Congratulations to Matildes Fernandes, Bob Ho, Luxcika Krishnapillai, Cher Lau, Sally Liu, Ba Phan, Hue Ha Do and Tara Zeng.

St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre Hosts March for Meals Community Champions Week

St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre hosts Community Champions Week as a part of its March for Meals campaign this month. Yesterday, Toronto Police Service 42 Division - Constable Gary Gomez, Community Relations Officer, and Constable Dale Nichiporik, Community Relations Officer participated in Meals on Wheels delivery to show their support for our community’s seniors.

New Addition To The Transportation Fleet

The Transportation Department is very excited to announce the arrival of a new Ford Crestline E450 bus. She was born 13000 lbs and 9 ft 7 inches tall . She can seat up to 20 people and includes space for 4 wheelchairs. She has a rear back-up camera and a foot step.She is really looking forward to bringing seniors to our Adult Day Programs, out for social events, day trips, shopping trips, and whatever else is required.The picture above shows her resting beside her sibling, Dolphin.

Ballroom Dance Classes

Joseph Hsiung & Shirley Lau have been ballroom dance instructors at SPLC for over 10 years. They teach over 10 classes a week from beginner to advanced levels in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Dances include quick step, cha cha, rumba, jive, waltz and tango. St.Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre Ballroom Dance classes will be starting on January 8, 2015. Register early to reserve your spot.
