St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre will be hosting its annual Ballroom Dance Fundraising Dinner Party on Friday, May 15, 2009. Jointly organized with Joseph Hsiung Dancing Studio, the fundraising event will feature singing & ballroom dance performances, table prizes, prize draws, and dancing until midnight with a live band. Also, special performances by Anton Belyayev & Antoanetta Popova, Canadian Ballroom & Latin Dance Amateur Champions.
The annual event brings together professional performers and amateur enthusiasts for entertainment and an elegant dinner in order to raise money for St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre. All proceeds will go towards recreation services to older adults and people in need. St. Paul’s Recreation Department offers over 100 programs including social, fitness, music, games, arts and crafts to name a few. Throughout the year, the agency organizes several special events and excursions. Recreation and wellness programs for seniors are greatly needed. They increase opportunities for socialization, enhance independence and maintain physical and emotional health.
All are welcome to attend the fundraising event at Century Palace Restaurant (398 Ferrier St. Markham, Ontario). Event begins is scheduled from 6:00pm-12:00am.
