Vaccine Update

Health officials continue to call for people to get their third and fourth doses to maximize protection against the current variant of Covid.

On Feb. 15, SPLC hosted a vaccine clinic in our buildings to provide fourth doses to seniors. Thank you to Scarborough Health Network for making that clinic possible.

Appointments for vaccines can be booked online through Scarborough Health Network. If you have questions about the vaccine, book a one-to-one consultation with a healthcare worker through SHN by calling 416-438-2911 ext. 5738 or http://www.shn.ca/vaxfacts

SPLC response

As the province reopens, SPLC will take a slow and gradual approach to re-opening to offer safe spaces for seniors. Find out more about what we are doing. https://splc.ca/news/welcome-back

Provincial Reopening

  • Increasing social gathering limits to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors
  • Increasing organized public event limits to 50 people indoors, with no limit outdoors
  • Removing capacity limits in the following indoor public settings where proof of vaccination is required, including restaurants and recreational fitness facilities
  • Increasing capacity limits for indoor weddings, funerals or religious services, rites, or ceremonies to the number of people who can maintain two metres physical distance.

Effective March 1, 2022, the province will remove capacity limits in all indoor public settings. Mandates requiring proof of vaccination will also be lifted.
