On September 25, 2018 we had the pleasure of partnering with United Way and the hard working volunteers from Ernst & Young LLP to celebrate the Korean Mid-Autumn festival, otherwise known as "Chuseok."
Traditional food like Songpyeon (rice cakes) and moon cakes were offered, and a nine hole tossing game brought out a sense of friendly competition and sportsmanship in all those participating. Meanwhile, the traditional Korean game of Yut Nori was played with a creative twist. The floor of Calvary Manor's gym was transformed into a giant Yut Nori board made of colourful tape, where volunteers helped bring the scene to life by moving around like living game pieces.
We are extremely grateful to both United Way, and Ernst & Young for their support in making this year's Chuseok festival such a rousing success. Thank you to all those who participated. We hope to see you again next year!
