We recently celebrated the unveiling of our newly renovated accessible reception area and main entrance! This beautiful space will allow every single person - regardless of their ability level - to fully access and participate in our incredible community. Features include automatic sliding doors, a wheel chair accessible reception counter, added floor space for mobility devices, and a desk that can accommodate both standing and wheel chair use. An accessible garden is also being constructed this year, so all members of our community may enjoy the grounds and stay connected to one another.
These renovations were made possible with the help of a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and we could not be more grateful for their support. Thank you to MPP Babikian, Aris for your kind words and support, and to Jeremy Beamer for so graciously representing the MPP at our event.
An agency of the Government of Ontario, the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is one of Canada’s largest granting foundations. With a budget of over $136 million, OTF awards grants to some 1,000 projects every year to build healthy and vibrant Ontario communities. www.otf.ca
